A good, high quality part from AC Delco. 4 stars because the instructions are pretty bad – just a sheet of paper with pictures on it, no writing. 4th GEN CAMARO OWNERS TAKE NOTE! This unit is *almost* perfect as an OEM replacement for our vehicle but unfortunately, not quite. The picture with the red circles added show that for whatever reason, GM chose to use a different arrangement of the locking plastic flanges between these two AC Delco parts. This was my fault for purposefully ignoring the “does not fit your vehicle” from amazon, because I couldn’t find anything better on Amazon that DID fit my vehicle.
I got it to work in the end but I had to use a dremel tool to shave off the extra bits on the new white piece so that it would fit into my camaro’s socket. Other than that, it’s pretty perfect. Wish it had a ground wire like the OEM one did, too, but once again that’s probably because this piece wasn’t actually designed for my vehicle.

These worked perfectly for replacing the DRL (daylight running lamp) bulb sockets on my Chevy Z71 1999 5.3L. The original ones had deteriorated and cracked and would no longer hold replacement bulbs in securely. I had to tape them in and even this after a while did not work well.
These come with heat shrink wrapped open ended crimp splices. I used some silicon filled scotch locks instead and the wires from the truck harness as well as the pigtails on the new sockets fit fine in a 18-22 ga lock. I did this because the scotch locks don’t require you to strip the wires first. Just had some on hand. The included splices will work just fine. The wires will need to be stripped first and then the heat shrink tubing sealed with a heat gun or other heat source.
These are fit and finish just like the OEM. Very happy with this purchase. A little pricey though. 5 stars.
Hope this helps for anyone else with a Chevy that needs new DLR bulb sockets. I see a lot of Chevy’s with only one lamp working. Apparently the OEM sockets weren’t designed well to last with the heat of the DLR bulbs. I may have to change them out again in another 12 years, but I will hopefully have a new truck by then!

Purchased these to replace the factory installed socket. They are the exact same except these have a larger wire than the factory installed ones. I am very happy with my purchase. I found these on here after searching at local stores but they were more expensive for an offbrand product locally. Always go with OEM.

Fit perfectly as designed.

Arrived ahead of schedule. They are original equipment replacement parts, which was a big plus. Not an aftermarket knockoff. They even came with the sealing gasket and heat shrink crimp connectors. The price was not a steal, but they are OEM parts and everything needed for installation was included. They are installed and working great.

This was an original AC Delco part that I needed for my drivers side daytime running light. The old one was worn out and slightly burned. Was not hard to replace and came with necessary connectors. Highly recommend!!

As others have mentioned and which is a very common issue with 99-07 GM trucks, my DRL bulb sockets in my truck were melted and discolored. I decided to replace them with these ACDelco units and am very happy with the results.
I got these for two reasons: to replace the old burnt sockets as well as to hopefully solve the other common issue of the DRL’s burning out quickly. These are better constructed and have a better connection than the stock ones hopefully resolving any issues causing the bulbs to burn out so fast.
In the package comes the DRL sockets with a good foot (*?) or so length of cable connected to them as well as two crimp on wire connectors as well as some options to install.
Install was very easy on my 00′ GMC Sierra. Note: make sure you look at which wire goes to which end of the socket as the ACDelco ones are both white. Just take the DRL’s that are currently in there and cut the wires pretty close to the socket to give yourself enough wire to work with and connect to. Then strip the ends as well as the ends of the replacement and crimp them together. I decided to put some of the extra wires inside the plastic casing that was already there, then sealed it up with some electrical tape. Note that you can also solder the wires in for a more permanent and better solution.
Overall great replacement. No problems so far and hopefully it stays that way. I would recommend these to replace your burnt or ones with a bad connection.
