Michael B from Rhode Island –
So if your digital speedometer is acting crazy and not giving accurate speed tracking, this is the part you need. I used on a 1998 Cadillac deville. My speedometer was fluctuating between 20-40 mph constantly even though I was driving at a constant speed. This was causing the transmission to constantly shift. Through researching the issue I discovered it was likely this part and it was. I changed it out and it immediately corrected the issue. This part looks exactly as the original factory part and just as heavy duty. Did the job

As advertised.
Jose –
Worked as expected.
Brook B –
Direct-fit part which corrected erratic speedometer behavior. Replaced the old one by removing the front passenger tire/wheel and reaching in through the wheel well to reach the top of the transmission.
MES –
Purchased for replacement on a Cadillac DTS. Fixed the speed sensor communication problem and so far all is well. Hopefully, this part will last a long time because it is in a difficult spot to get to when replacing it.

2003 Olds Aurora 4.0L. The speedometer was bouncing & trans was shifting weird. Replaced this sensor, problem fixed.
One side note: When I replaced the sensor the pigtail to the sensor broke a wire (maybe my problem all along), but didn’t find it until after I replaced this sensor. After the new sensor replacement, the speedometer didn’t work at all & trans shifted really hard. I pulled the new sensor back out again & found a broke wire.
Not the easiest sensor to replace. Had to replace by feel, as the trans mount/bracket was in the way. Remove the rf wheel & its above the axle shaft on the top part of the trans. I couldn’t see it from the top or the side, so found the wire & followed by hand to the sensor. I don’t remember but one 8mm or 10mm bolt holds it in place. Good luck!
