Fit my 76 Chevy truck perfectly. O.E. quality.

I looked everywhere for AC Delco GM quality. This key lock is amazing, as nice as the 32 year old original. Says GM on key, Chrome handle, snap in style. In 1978, GM transitioned from snap in to bolt in lock cylinders. You must use the right one. I removed my lock first to confirm, ordered this on and got in 3 days. In AC Delco box, Highly recommended. Might be a couple bucks more than Dorman or knockoffs. Buy this one for 1978 and earlier GM.

Perfect fit. Can’t go wrong with AC Delco

The old ignition switch was so worn you didn’t even need a key to start the car so I figured while I was replacing the turn signal switch I would replace this as well. It was very easy. Just push the lever in and boom the ignition slides out. Popped the new one in with ease. It didn’t work every time when I first installed it but the seller suggested a bit of lube so I sprayed a touch of wd40 on the cylinder and a touch in the key hole and works every time now.

It worked perfect for my 1971 Camaro

I had read on various sites that not all of these are created equal. The short of it was that many of them were just slightly off or had burs in places that made it difficult to put these in place. So when I pulled this out of the box, walked up to the car, and this bad boy slid right in I was ecstatic! Fit and finish was better than what it replaced (granted the original was 40+ years old too). So long story made short – for my application in a 73 Vette this item was dead on perfect!

It’s sometimes difficult to find OEM parts for classic cars. This is an OEM part and has the GM packaging and even GM stamped keys to prove it.
One suggestion is to check with AC Delco to confirm the application for your part. In this case Amazon said that it would not fit my car but the AC Delco said it was the correct part.
Regardless, it is a quality part at a great price.
