I have been getting a P0101 code in my 2004 Tahoe almost every time I drive my vehicle. I clear the code with a code reader, and it comes back the next time I drive the vehicle. It doesn’t cause rough idle or drivability issues.

The P0101 code refers the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor of the vehicle, which can be caused by several issues other than the actual MAF sensor being bad. I had read the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor seal is a known issue and can apparently throw the P0101 code, and it was the cheapest repair to attempt, so I started there. I took off my MAP sensor and this seal was torn and deformed. I swapped the seal and so far, have not had the code come back after a half dozen drives.

Edit – It’s been a week of driving multiple times every day and the issue has not come back.

Found my map sensor on my Harley wasn’t sealing properly. After some research, they use GM map sensors! All I needed was the seal and this was the perfect fix! They are kind of fun to get on just know that.

Bought this in the hopes it would also fit the Fuel Pump Tank Pressure Sensor on my 2002 Chevy Avalanche and IT DOES! Took off the old torn seal, and put this one on and fuel pressure sensor fit right into the hole on the fuel pump.
I am hoping this will solve the slow fuel leak I have been seeing and solve the 50psi low fuel pressure (normal range is 55psi to 65 psi) and get rid of this darn P0300 general misfire code.
This is a genuine GM OE Part.

I have had recent surging and bucking when the car is under acceleration, and I was able to isolate the problem down to this particular gasket. The old gasket started to tear in different places, causing the MAP sensor to come loose. This did not trigger a CEL. Upon replacing the MAP gasket with this one, the issue was resolved. This MAP gasket is a direct fit, same size as the original gasket, and fits on the original MAP sensor. It slips right onto the sensor and is very tight, and when you pop it into the intake, it has a satisfying pop and seals tightly.

Nice tight fit on to sensor and into manifold on. Gm LS 4.8 MAP Sensor. Seems to be overprice for what it is though.

Don’t go by the Amazon Confirm Fit, if you need a replacement MAP sensor seal, if you have a fourth generation F-body with the 5.7L, LT1 engine V8. I needed to replace my MAP sensor, and I bought this seal because the original seal was partially ripped, and I could find a replacement that actually specifically says it fits my 1993 Camaro Z28. So I reused the old seal on the replacement MAP sensor until I finally decided to take a risk on buying this one. Fortunately, this seal is a perfect fit.

Fits on new gm oem map sensor just fine but why do you have to buy it separately to seal the map sensor when you should put a new seal on a new sensor anyway? 9 bucks for the seal.seems extreme but if you get a new GM map sensor it doesn’t come with the seal ike it did in years past.geez! What a way to make an extra cpl.bucls!
