I’ve found that the 32 pound spring is too heavy for the mounting surface on my stock OEM type distributor. When the points open and there is pressure on the balance plate (mounting surface) the plate flexes causing the dwell to change drastically. No good for that! I had to change to a stock 23 pound spring set of points.
