After installing several electrical accessories to an ATV, I wanted a switch to shut down power for long periods when the machine wouldn’t be used. I was looking at more typical battery switches like on larger battery systems. I have one on a boat with two batteries. The battery well on the ATV, under the seat, is space limited though. This small switch sits on top of the battery bolted into one of those terminals with a square nut sitting within it. I find these difficult if you are adding any extra wires/terminals because the bolt then won’t reach the nut unless you prop it up with a small wedge like a micro screwdriver or toothpick. The other side of this switch has a nice long bolt for adding multiple wires with ring terminals easily. The simple switch seems to operate fine, just unscrew the knob until power is disconnected. Easy install and the price is right. I used it on the negative side to interrupt the ground but I suppose it could be used on the positive instead. I would recommend it.

This was put on our 2020 Waverunner VX Cruiser. When installing, the original battery bolt was too short (I see a few others had the same problem based on their reviews). I noticed there is a nut under the terminal that falls a few cm when the bolt is removed. I put the original bolt back into the nut and slid a zip tie under the nut to hold the nut higher and in place. The original bolt was long enough to catch after that and I simply pulled the zip tie out once it was connected. No extra parts or filing necessary. Works as advertised. Now we’ll see if it holds up to my son’s riding.

It doesn’t seem cheap and it functions as it is supposed to. Must have for motorcycles that drain your battery.

The ACBungji Battery Disconnect Switch Negative Terminal seem to build up carbon or soot so as they sometimes need a bit hard of torquing to get them to reconnect. They work, but not as good as I had expected/desired.

Purchased this item to isolate the power to my inverter, it does what it’s ment to do, a few turns on the wheel and it cuts off the power.

  6. Wildebeeste

Needed a cut off for our quad bike. There’s several alarms that drain the battery so constantly required charging to start. This was a 2 minute fit and isolates the battery completely. Brilliant.

These things are Battery savers, on my newer ATV’s And Tractors they discharge quickly if you leave them idle for a while I was jumping them because they didn’t have enough pwer to start after istalling these switches I no longer have that problem you just turn the Knob when your done and turn it on again later when you use the vehicle and the battery never discharges. I have purchased 6 of these so far and they work great

This acts as you’d expect; cheap piece of metal that can quickly open the circuit. There is a 90° bend that I found limited my mounting options but I believe most battery terminals shouldn’t have an issue. Good for a cheap solution.

I tried using this to take care of an electrical parasites on my road bike. Now the unit is easy to install, and the concept is awesome, but this particular device needs to go back to the engineers for more work!!!
The only way it would eliminate the complete flow of electricity through the devise is to completely take the twist nut all the way out and separate the two conductive flat plates. NOT A QUICK OR SUCCESSFUL “engage/disengage” device. I strongly encourage looking elsewhere for your needs.

Goldwing had a battery draw, didnt wanna diagnose it. This darned thing fit just fine under the panel, works perfectly. Great little added security. You’ll wanna get longer hardware than what is supplied with it, but I’m sure you’ll figure something out like I did. cheers
