The car ate the reamer, as in it fell into the abyss never to be seen again. I hadn’t gotten the hole totally reamed out to where I could use the bushings or installer tool but had removed enough material to cut enough new threads with my thread chaser to get the new o2 to snug up where I felt confident to throw the intake back on (2013 Ford Taurus 3.5 non turbo rear manifold). I couldn’t get the chaser to start before using the reamer in this kit but couldn’t have completed the repair without it.
Only gave 4 stars because I ran my 18×1.5 thread chaser through them like you should to clean the threads before I tried using the kit but only got it to run completely 4 of 5 of the bushings.

It does the job

The “key” to using this kit to renew threads for the O2 sensor opening is to use plenty of cutting oil. I used an electric impact tool to use the reamer to drill out the opening for the threading tap. Plenty of cutting oil is necessary for both reaming and tapping the opening. Once the hole was reamed, the tap was used to create new threads for the insert, again using plenty of cutting oil. Be careful when threading the insert, I ruined the first insert but was successful on the next try. This kit is well worth the money.

This kit worked great.
Not easy but nothing is easy these days but it worked!
It saved me from changing the exhaust manifold.

After a few attempts managed to get it to work no instructions. Ruined a few insert before figuring out how to use it. After a few try,’s tap damaged

I tried the ones auto parts store sells for $9 their trash. This set up here is what everyone must have who’s going to do their own oxygen sensors. The reamer makes a difference. The damage threads are easily fixed when you use the reman first then rethread it with the 18 mm. I couldn’t believe I was done so quickly this set is awesome everything else scrap it this is the one to get… I would suggest anyone that hasn’t used something like this before May there be more instructions on how to use it. When I took out my oxygen sensor the threads were damaged so bad that I couldn’t get nothing to retread in there. That’s what a reamer comes in The rim removes those damaged threads. And the rethread it with this is tapered and it just does the job makes it so easy…
