This is fantastic. I tried to “make” my own version of something like this, but it wouldn’t stick to the car at all. This is very secure, held my Pixel 8 with no problem and it’s a normal “ball” mount for the phone holder part, so if you have a different holder (magnetic, charging, etc) that you’d rather use, you can use this base with that mount as long as it uses the ball mount. I had no issues with this shifting, sliding, or otherwise moving from where I stuck it regardless of the bumpiness of the road, including a gravel driveway at a farm.

I was never sure about the purpose of that flat patch to the left of the IONIQ 5 display, but here it is! Underneath the fabric cover is a flat steel plate where magnets can stick.
I was amazed how well this phone mount stick to that dedicated place! The magnets are really strong and the phone clamp is well designed to hold the phone securely in just the right spot for an unobstructed view. Works equally well for landscape and portrait orientation.
This is now a permanent installation in my car and I would not want to go back to any previous solution. This is so much better.

I got this unit for my IPhone 16 in my Hyundai Ioniq 5. This works incredible well in the magnet portion of the dash. It holds my phone very securely and the unit is very well supported by the magnet dash. It seems to have a great build quality and I’m sure it will give a long service life. It will fit many phone sizes and you can orient it in landscape or portrait. I recommend it.

Perfect for a Kona 2025. Feels sturdy and fits a Smasung S24+. After a few rides with bumps, the phone stayed in place in the jaws and the stand does not lose its position. I did notice the jaws have good force to hold the phone, but it takes a few tries to learn how to put the phone in with 1 hand. Although the picture in the listing has it pictured the magnet in a vertical orientation, I noticed horizontally was better to use just one hand (look at my picture). Overall, it works well, and the magnet is strong and stick well to the dash. If you want to free some space this is a good item to prevent clutter in middle console.

We picked up this magnetic phone mount because we had a difficult time finding a way to mount a MagSafe charging car dock in our new EV. The dashboard in our car features a large touchscreen that takes up about two-thirds of the cabin’s width and sticks out about two inches, making it unsuitable for a suction cup or screw-in dock. None of the vents in the car are ideally placed either, making it even harder to find a secure location for the mount.
This product has been a great solution, as it cleverly uses the metal surfaces inside the car to attach the base with strong magnets. The magnetic connection is robust enough to keep the mount in place, even through bumpy roads or sudden stops. I did make a small modification to the base to attach the charging plate from our old car, but once I did, it became the ideal charging car mount.
What I really appreciate about this mount is how secure it feels. The magnetic base attachment is more than enough to keep my phone in place, and I’ve never had to worry about it falling off, even when driving on rougher roads. It’s sleek and unobtrusive, which is perfect for our modern EV interior.
Overall, this is a solid product that solves a problem I’ve been dealing with for a while. While I had to make a small modification to fit it perfectly with our old charging plate, it’s an excellent phone mount and charger in one. Four stars for great functionality and a smart design that works well in a space with limited mounting options.

This is a neat phone holder that is magnetic! I didn’t even realize the material to the left of my instrument cluster digital screen was made from metal. This holder sticks very well and stays in place. It’s perfect to hide a phone away from the rest of the console and is out of the way.
