    Installed in an 84 model 351 replacing a non functioning duraspark system. Doesn’t get easier than one wire hookup. Seems to be well built time will tell.

    i specifically ordered an HEI distributor to fit my 1993 F150xlt EFI 5.8 engine only to find out now that the engine is rebuilt this distributor will not fit my truck because of the fuel rail return and Intake manifold both get in the way. it is garbage and I can not return it worst money i ever spent
    i believe that either false information or stupidity your choice

    Great product and would buy again but the coil on the new distributor was bad so I did have to use my old one.

    I really liked the simple 1 wire (or 2 if using a tachometer) hook-up. I didn’t have any issues with the install. I put the engine on TDC (top dead center) or number 1 cylinder, and removed the old dist. Put new O-ring on shaft. (Mine didn’t come with one), Put some lube on gear and O-ring, dropped right in. I got the plug (two wire) for it and presto. Check your timing and you should be ready to go. Performance is great.

    Installed and timed engine, ran fine for about 1500 miles, then failed internally. Distributor shaft actually wore through the top of the sleeve, the debris trashed the pickup coil. It wore the top edge off of the sleeve so the retaining ring for the pickup coil no longer has a top edge to hold to.

    Will it gey you running? Most likely. Be prepared to replace with something better in short order, though.

    This distributor is gonna make my life a lot easier. This single wire HEI and my Holley 2 barrel made it so I could eliminate about 20 unnecessary wires and other electricals on my 1984 Ford F150. Great way to keep things simple and very user friendly. Cant wait to fire the engine up soon.
