Unit equipped with 7 prong plug. Original is 8 prongs and no explanation why 8th prong deleted or will unit perform properly with only 7 prongs.

After replacing the 4×4 ECM, things still weren’t going well so I bought this and installed it laying on my garage floor. One trick: if the triangular coupling doesn’t sling, simply and very easily turn the recessed one on the transfer case itself to match up with the position of the male triangular coupling on this unit – because trying to adjust it on this unit will not work! Hope it lasts, we’ll see.

After paying 100 dollars for a remanufactured starter that didn’t work, I was pleased to pay almost half that of a new one that works perfectly .

The motor seems to work well. It was an easy replacement on my Ford Ranger. I hope it lasts as long as the original.

A lot less expensive than at the auto parts store. Only issue was screw hole off just and little making you work at it a bit to get it lined up. Works fine though.

Did not fit 03 ranger whatsoever. Old one slid right on and right off. This one wasn’t having it! Buy a different one!
