WALSH –
Original wire set on the engine is a mix of grey and black sheath with some straight and some angled plug boots. These are all black and all angled. Doesn’t affect the fit noticeably.
All wires are a couple inches longer than the originals. Doesn’t make a difference but on the driver’s side you need to route the extra slack out of the way of the manifold. The extra length does make it easier to maneuver the boot onto the plug so that’s a benefit.
The wires also seem to be maybe a half to one mm larger in diameter than the originals which makes the fitting of them onto the coil a little tight. One release clip on one fitting is interfered with if you retain the same install arrangement as from the factory.
Engine with new wires is noticeably stronger than with the old but then there was a reason they were being replaced.
