Works great on my 2005 Dodge hood. Rated for cold, so I will see how they hold up. My last ones were not rated for cold and failed when I forgot to plug in and had to open the hood at -25°F. These hold up the hood and are the correct balance for easy opening and closing. The price is competitive. They appear to be well made.

Worked as good or better than Factory. Fit perfectly. Seems very durable. Very stiff. Super easy to install and look great.
After installing these my hood felt so light and easy to open. About halfway open it just finished opening on its own. Had to pull down a bit to get it to close, so I know it ain’t going to just fall down on me again.
I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would recommend it to others

My old struts only worked when the weather was warm and on perfectly level ground. Even then I still had to use the old hockey stick method to keep the hood from dropping on my head. If you have the same thing going on, it’s time to face it…they’re shot. Time to replace them.
Get these struts! They are super strong, so not only do they hold the hood up completely stable, they actually relieve the weight as you lift the hood and do most of the lifting. That’s more like it!
Easy to install. Just insert the lower end first and then lift your hood as high as needed to align the upper end. Takes longer to get the old ones off than it does to install these.

Only took about 5 minutes to remove the old struts and install the new ones. They are guaranteed for a year, hopefully they will last much longer than that.
