Warning! Do not buy this wiper motor for your Holda Civic 2007. The one I bought is a mirror image. Think it’s for a right-hand drive car in GB.

Bought this and the customer just came by to have it installed. It doesn’t fit. I measured and its off in two places. It will not fit a 2006 Honda Civic.

Purchased this b/c my wipers had a mind of their own. Wouldn’t stop and when they did would stop in a random spot. Annoying. Purchased for 2007 Honda Civic EX. Left side drive (Canada)

First – nice box and packaging. Looks professional.

Second – weight and construction seems quality and sturdy. Looks and feels good.

Third – is where it starts to go down hill. Unlike what it says in the sales pitch, the holes are NOT precision lined up. The 3 mounting holes did not line up perfectly. Took a very careful angled insert of one screw fingers crossed it didn’t cross thread. It didn’t thankfully but it was meticulous and time consuming trying to line the 3 holes up. Look at the pic and you can kinda see the misaligned third hole.

Fourth – next problem. The actual transmission mounting pin doesn’t like up in the center of the transmission bracket hole. Not a big deal as it still works but it does NOT line up dead center like the original. It may be rubbing on the side slightly. Not the best over time.

Fifth- and this was the biggest hassle – when you follow the many YouTube videos (there are lots) after you’ve marked the bracket in line with the arrow in order to return it to the transmission arm exactly where you took it off it and after torquing it down to 22 ft lbs it does not allow you to rotate it back to the center of the 3 lines which is the resting spot. I disassembled it and put my old one back on just to test the process and rotated like a charm back to center of the 3 lines. Out this new one back on and same thing. Does not budge. So, the only way to ensure the transmission arm were centered on the 3 lines I had to pop the transmission arm off and put the whole transmission in a vice and while I was using both hands with a pair of slip joint pliers to hold it exactly center of the 3 lines, the wife used the torque to tighten down just the pivot arm. Once this was torqued in place at the center of the three line I was able to re-clip in the transmission arm. This vice technique took me a bunch of trial and error as it let slipping before I went the vice route requiring me to plug in the new motor to the car to zero it again and again and again. If it just rotated like in the YouTube videos and the old one I could have avoided this whole hassle.

Anyway once torqued and installed the vehicle electronics were able to power the new motor working the transmission like it should. Seems to be ok but took 3 hours instead of 30 minutes. Pain in the arse.

Sixth- installed finally and no more random wiper action. Start and stop like they should.

Guess I’ll see over time how this lasts given the slight design defects.

Good luck with your install and hopefully your pivot arm rotates when aligning the transmission arm. Otherwise it’s a pain.
