The package arrived with the 2 strut assemblies and a washer. A washer?
Inspecting the assemblies, it was noted that the orientation of the pressure tube connector was backwards on one strut when fully threaded down (they both faced the same direction and they should face each other or away from each other depending on how the parts are laying). In addition, the line of force is not straight, so there is some force going into the mechanism that will reduce life. Also, on the driver’s side, there is an additional harness bracket as part of the strut in the original part. This part is not required on the passenger side. If you want to get the harness bracket, there may be another strut design that states that it fits the 1994 ES300 and Camrys, and is sold in an aftermarket pair, so you would get the harness bracket for both the passenger and the driver side, but you only need it for the driver’s side. You would need to make sure that the other design really fits though (It just looked like it would fit).
Washer. so we put the washer onto the threads, but the washer is too thick to correct the orientation of the pressure tube connector and removes a lot of thread engagement.
There is nothing on the listing nor in the box to describe what the washer is for and nothing that states that the pressure tube connector position would need to be adjusted.
This should have been a simple remove and replace. Loose threads put load on other portions of the mechanism and cause additional wear and early failure.
I need these parts and they will likely work, but I am not pleased that i had to determine that there was something wrong, then decide to use the pressure tube connector not fully threaded or return because there is no way to contact the manufacturer on this listing to even ask a question. Note: If you google the manufacturer, there is a website, but the person answering the phone will not deal with an amazon order. I was directed to use the “ask a question” chat option for the seller of the part and that i could speak with someone. However, when i finished the process, there was a note that said i should wait up to 48 hours to get an answer.
I am so disappointed. I wanted anyone else who is thinking of purchasing this part to be aware of what you might get. I did get some responses from the community, which should now be part of the listing, that stated that the pressure tube connector orientation is not just a one time thing. If i ever get more information, i will add it to this review.

Fit my 95 camry, no more need for a stick in the truck or a vise grip on the strut. Installation went well, no need for modifications of any for it to fit.

Easy swap out for my 1996 Camry. Affordable and came with new ball mounts for the hood. Had to reuse existing bolts on the car side.

The lift supports very good to the point I pushed on the hood half way down and the hood went all the way back up which is a plus, but my issue is that one of the lift supports was in the manufacturer package and the other one was in a Walmart shopping bag. After looking at it closely I could see the one in the Walmart shopping bag was installed and returned and these lifts supports was sold as new but one wasn’t because you could see the washer ring scratches on it.
