I purchased 5 within a month. 2 of them already malfunctioned. The plastic at the pin melts and gets between the prong and spark plug wire. The work heart for a couple weeks, then you have to replace it. Not yet not the coil, but the wire also due to the fact that you can’t get the wire off without damaging the wire. I do not recommend this. You will have to replace all of them again, sooner than later.

I had misfire codes for cylinders 1 and 3 on my Mercedes 3.6L V6 (engine also used by Chrysler). I ordered new spark plugs (12), a new plug wire set, and these two coils. The plugs and wires have now arrived yet, but I installed the two coils anyway, and the stinking and misfire vanished! I’ll save the plugs and wires for later. Note: Mercedes numbers their cylinders strangely, 1-2-3 on the right side, 4-5-6 on the left, (left while sitting in the car). Most V6 engine are 1-3-5 and 2-4-6, which matches their crank journal position from front to back.

The price is shockingly low, OEM coils are expensive, but often lifetime parts. You could replace all six coils with these for less than replacing one OEM coil. At 295,000+ miles with rust holes on a 23 year old car, I don’t need that kind of longevity.

Installation is easy, remove the airbox and unplug, remove the MAF sensor for access on the right side. Coils are held down with a T30 bolt, so you need a T30 that can be driven by at least a 1/4″ drive socket, I don’t think a T30 screwdriver will be enough, unless you grab it with pliers for breakaway power. They say to put the two plug wires back in the same A or B port they came out of, but I really don’t think it matters, it’s either a loop into one spark plug, across the combustion chamber, out the other spark plug, and back to the same coil pack; or from the double coil pack through both spark plugs in parallel to ground on the engine block. Either way, I don’t see where polarity would matter with A/B.
