On my 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite the passenger side window stopped working. I couldn’t control it from the drivers side. When pressing the switch, nothing happened. On the passenger side, the switch worked, but when the window got to the top and made a loud repeated noise. After opening the door panel up, which is very easy to do, I was able to see the motor housing had essentially exploded with one bolt out and the others about to fall out. I was able to remove the device with the 4 screws undone. Used painters tape to hold the window up when removing the 2 screws attached to the window holder.
When I tried replacing it with the $60 part Amazon sells, which many have purchased, of the 4 screws only 3 would line up. I read in the reviews and another person had the same issue. So I ordered this replacement for $90 and it was an exact fit. It also was much more quiet and operated like the original motor. I was able to do this in under an hour. Saved hundreds doing myself. Please save yourself trouble if you have the same vehicle and spend the few extra dollars. I took the time to write this review as I couldn’t be more happy and to save others the trouble. YouTube videos are very helpful but this is a fix most can do with a Phillips, flathead, and 10 mm socket.
