High Plains Drifter –
Didn’t really need a new fuel pump, but the Fuel Gauge kept reading “Full” all the time – 95% of the time, that problem is due to the float apparatus on the in-tank Fuel Pump not working. However, in the case of our Altima with >230k on it, replacing the fuel pump did not cure this particular problem. That said, the existing fuel pump had over 130k miles on it, and replacing the fuel pump was not an unreasonable expense or effort anyway; I wasn’t going to sell the car without trying to fix the fuel gauge problem, and if it ends up with a new, reliable fuel pump, so be it. The instructions were right on the money (not that you can’t find YouTube videos all over the Internet), and you just go in from the top by removing the rear seat. Be sure to do this carefully – have a fire extinguisher handy, ground yourself, and work carefully. Good luck.

The pump lasted less than 2 months, pure garbage, left me stranded in the middle of a freeway, replaced back with original which wasn’t as good but still worked and my car ran fine, DONT BUY IT
