@anchorsawayjay –

Anthony Cindrich –
Same as OEM, Excellent Product.
Tyler N. –
worked like a charm i would ABSOLUTELY recommend it for the price had it in my e36 and still going strong after 8 months
Roger Allen –
Excellent replacement for my 1997 BMW 328i fuel pump. Installs in about 5 minutes or less and he’s performed perfectly. I enthusiastically recommend this product!
@anchorsawayjay –
Read the above review before purchasing and took that into account before installing.
Overall fuel pump works fine. I put the hose clamp on the line where it connects to the blue plastic housing. Installed over a month ago have had no issues.
Jon Wallace –
Bought for my 1996 BMW 328i convertible. Fit great, put it in myself in under 30 mins. So far haven’t had a problem, driven about 300 km since installed.
Nitro Nick –
THIS FUEL PUMP DIDN’T LAST THAT LONG. MAYBE 2 WEEKS.
Ben –
As advertised, works and fits perfectly, much less expensive than OEM.
AR –
Has been installed for about 2 months without any issues, can’t go wrong for the price

This pump suffers what a majority of the non-oem pumps suffer from. The hose from the pump to the retainer assembly is not physically clipped, it is a slip fitting over a serrated barb that will over time [and pressure] force that hose off the barb, leaving you with a functional pump but no pressure on the rail.
The US ODB-II E36 BMW’s run fuel at ~3.5 bar or 51 psi at 0 boost, 0 vacuum. The FPR will pull pressure down at idle based on vacuum, as much as 0.5 bar to 3.0 bar or 43 psi. However the FPR is also electrically controlled and can vary pressure under certain conditions to alter pressure further.
This fluctuation and the fact that the E36 uses a deadhead / return-less fuel rail means the hose is subjected to pulsations that will push that hose off the barb. You have to use a mechanical fuel injection hose clamp or the OEM non-removable types [they they you can see on the hose connection to the pump itself].
This inadequate design has been noticed by myself and several members of my local BMW group and we find that using clamps exposes the next flaw, the non-OEM pumps are using thinner accordian hose which over time will rupture, but that takes about a year 🙁 So i am returning my pump because of the indicated failure. Sad, because for the day the hose remained attached it performed well. FIX YOUR PUMP DESIGN.
