This was the perfect replacement for my 2004 Jetta that would not shift. Mice had chewed through the old one. The only downside to the job was that the transmission mount had to be removed to access this sensor. That’s not the sensors fault though. Great price.

This sensor was changed in one hr by a mobile mechanic and was a perfect swap out and solution to gear stuck in 2nd. Not as complicated as it looked on Youtube videos. It just is inaccessible if you don’t have the right tools. I recommend this sensor as it was similar to the original which was 22 years old.
