Easy to replace. My OEM driveline had the center support bearing go out, so I got one to replace it. But during the removal of the OE driveline, it came apart at the joint and it was not indexed. I was going to do that after I removed it. So fast forward, I put the new bearing on and put it back as best guess. NO GOOD. bouncing and bumping like crazy. I separated it and tried 5 times to realign it. Still no good. And these are considered “not serviceable” so no one around me could balance it because of the shaft and coupling.
SO… I ordered this one. And upon arrival before it even came out of the box, I indexed it. I forgot to take a picture, but basically indexing means using a yellow automotive paint pen to draw a line across the front side and back side, across the U-joint, all in a straight line for perfect alignment. so if it came apart, it goes back together without it being out of balance.
ALSO, the boot that protects the splined joint that can separate does not have anything securing it like the OE did OR as the center bearing kits come with. So I used a stainless Steel zip-tie and pulled it tight and cut off all the excess. No pics of this either, sorry. DO NOT USE worm or hose clamps. the weigh will throw off the balance.
All in all, this is a balanced new driveshaft with all new u-joint and support bearing. It is working perfectly! I highly suggest doing the two things I did. Index it and add the SS zip-tie.

I was very hesitant to purchase this. One. Online. 2. Made in China. And a lot of time you get generic parts. I have a RWD CTS not an AWD. And the shafts are different. Perfect fit. No vibrations at speed. And can’t beat the price.

So far, so good. I’ve had this in my v1 for a day. The middle CV in my Dorman unit from O’Reilly was clicking after 20k miles. I am particularly impressed with the front shaft being a smaller diameter than the rear, this allows me to adjust my shifter down further without hitting the driveshaft and, more importantly, there is no longer a whine at 80mph in 6th gear like I experienced with the OEM and the Dorman.
Balanced well too, no vibrations up to 156 so far. If this review has five stars then it has been six months with no problems.

Bought for my 04 CTS V with the LS6 engine and T56 transmission. Fit perfectly and so far so good. Put about 50 miles on the car so far, no vibrations. Got the car to about 85 mph, no vibrations. Good price as as well
