I used these struts on my truck tool box chest after I installed some wide, long, and heavy traction pads to the top of the tool box. They need slight assistance being lifted up which I wasn’t sure if I disliked or not. But then once the lid was up, it stayed up without falling. Plus it gave enough resistance going down that it didn’t slam back down.

Works as they should. These were installed onto the top box of a Reading service body. They open the lid with ease and close without too much resistance.
