My engine was misfiring and I could not get the boat past 6 MPH on 225 Horses. Took the cowl off and immediately spotted that my original was broke. I ordered this and was back on the water the next day with all issues solved. It has been in place and in use since March 2023.

Maybe i got a bad one but definitely out of spec for expected resistance. The resistance on the high output side of these ignition coils is out of spec. It’s nearly 1k ohms less than expected. This results in poor engine performance. At the 5k rpms the check engine light comes on for the optimax 135 1999 that I tried it in. It also doesn’t seem to fire cleanly at the low end. I was hoping this would work as it would have saved me a bunch of money. Instead it was a waste of my time and had to buy the OEM. Good luck. Attached are pictures of an oem multimeter read, the a.a multimeter read and the spec high voltage range from the maintenance manual.

had to replace them to oem and boat ran great/ they caused idle issues and miss fire. they did work on top end but voltages on optimax are very touchie at idle. wouldn.t recamond
