i would recommend only using them for a few seconds at a time because the rocker switches are only rated for 3 amps and will melt

Makes troubleshooting much easier and it is safer than using jumpers. I use the bypass relays to activate all types of circuits. This allows you to quickly isolate control versus end-unit functions. For example fuel pump not running? is it being told to run? insert relay bypass and flip a switch. Not running now means that probably the fuel pump is bad or the wires to it. really makes troubleshooting faster. The amp loop allows you to measure current using a clamp-on ammeter. Be sure you have one that will work with DC current.
