I’m restoring a 1981 F-150 and I ordered these to protect around the door handles. They really do look nice and should wrok well, but I haven’t actually stuck them yet, so I don’t know how well the adhesive will hold. I’m going to try one on the tailgate area first and will report back with any news. The price is great on these.

These are excellent quality adhesive scratch protectors. Contrast well with the black vehicle that already has red accents. Adhesive is super strong and the vinyl is thick and sturdy. Easy to install. Great price. Quick shipping and delivery. I highly recommend.

The car protectors came in perfect condition. They have a nice matte carbon fiber look, but it has a white colored edge as the edges aren’t rounded (it appears like the protectors are simply cut out of a sheet of material). I have a white colored car so it’s not as noticeable, but it will definitely show on other colors. It feels like the carbon fiber finish is holding well to the adhesive. When applying, make sure the surface is clean and dry and it’s warm (the adhesive didn’t stick well when applied cold, or if the car surface is cold).

My Encore got some scratches at the door handle bowl are. Get scratched a lot by the finger nails. They are not deep but visible. I clean them up with alcohol. The design made it easy to fit the concave of the bowl well. No extra crumbles. When install, peel off only about 1/4 of the backing to start, after get it right then remove the rest backing. I had got another one for my 2024 Pacifica, the van was much bigger so the handle was bigger so it appears small on the van. So is this, but the Encore is much smaller, this ended up with a very good fit. We will see when it comes the time to remove, if it can be removed easy as promised….

The product comes with 4 door handle protectors and 4 door protectors. The handle protectors could be used anywhere applicable on your vehicle. The product is well made, very flexible and conforms easily to the shapes needed. Mine arrived without instructions, but I have installed enough of this style product to know how.

Why the three star rating:
– most cars today have 5 doors (4 doors to get in and out of and one trunk or cargo access) the kit only has four so unless you want to by an entire extra kit you wont have anything for the rear of the vehicle. This applies to pickup trucks as well. Vehicles not having 5 areas would have an additional protector if something is messed up during installation.
– No directions in my kit. Cleaning and preparation is the key to installing these properly and directions would go a long way to ensure that takes place.
– Items arrived in a ziplock bag inside a brown envelop. Mine were a bit crumpled so I place them on a board and placed a heavy weight on them for several days to flatten them out.
– I got the blue version of these and the color is not what is shown online. The ones that arrived are a much softer color.

Installation:
– clean the area where this will be installed thoroughly (wash the area with detergent I used Dawn dish detergent to remove the dirt and any grease)
– Wipe the area down with alcohol on a cotton ball to ensure nothing else is left (it takes away any remaining water)
– Mark with tape the edges of where you want to install the item. Make sure to mark up and down as well as left and right. Once this sticks it does not move.
– start the edge of the removable tape and start placing the item into the desired location
– smooth out air bubbles from the middle our to the edges
– if you end up with any bubbles you can pin whole the sticker with a needle and release the air (this is last resort)

The color of blue isn’t quite right for my vehicle and it’s a bit small as far as the piece that goes behind the door handle, plus it sticks on and my hands aren’t the best at doing that anymore. My mirrors are black so don’t think the blue would look right. It seems to have been made more for todays sedans not an ’03 SUV. There’re a good idea though and I did like that they are reflective. I may use the handle strips but I’m not sure.
