I had old worn out shocks these unit fit just fine and now my boxes open up like new.

Just snap these on, and they work as advertised. Only mild complaint is that the instructions aware not clear how to release the clip to get the strut off. When I contacted the firm, they simply sent back copy of the printed instructions. I still don’t know how to release the clip, but I will worry about that in a few years when they need to be replaced.

Ordered a pair to install in my pedalboard. The size & specs met my requirements and the instructions provided enough information on the dimensions necessary for installation. My only major complaint is the quality of the mounting brackets provided to mount the shock end is made out of thin metal that easily bends, which will cause the shocks to not function properly and or be misaligned. I had to bend the bracket back into shape during installation. The opposite end mounting brackets are made from stainless steel and strong enough to withstand the force of opening and closing. The shock end bracket needs a stronger bracket to withstand the torque of opening and closing. All in all, they worked for my application but unsure if the brackets will hold up over time and repeated use.

The arms on the windows that came with our unit could not stand up to wind action. After a few months they lost their seal and wouldn’t stay up. These ones have lasted over a year (this is the third set I have ordered because we have 3 windows in the unit). I had to scavenge one of the ends from the failed set as a flat 180 oriented piece was needed not the 90 degree one, it would have been nice to have it included. But it was a standard head size so reusing that part worked just fine. I recommend these!

Works well on my sentry gun safe. Just had to transfer the lid connector end from my old support, to the new one. Would purchase again.

I needed to replace the shocks in my overhead cabinets that came from home depot. The ones it came with started dying and the doors wouldn’t stay up anymore. I tried to find replacement ones from them with no luck and then I found these. I guessed at the length (and came real close, lol) and these worked perfectly. I love them and they definitely work like a champ! I highly recommend these!

I purchased these gas struts to replace the ones in my full size tool box mounted in my truck bed, they were a perfect fit and were very easy to install, .simply pull the retaining clip out and snap the strut on the swivel ball mount. The value is hard to beat especially when considering buying a new tool box. When purchasing make sure you check your existing sizes , length, and lifting and supporting force, try to match these closely as there is not much room for adjustments once installed. I would recommend these to anyone who has a toolbox lid that doesn’t stay up as it should
