Watch a video first, Can be done with two screw drivers, socket/nut driver and tape. Suggest you tape the window in the up position, strips of tape over top of window or bar clamp (padded). This leaves room to remove the old regulator, install new, then drop the window down to install two bolts holding the window to the regulator. Works great, like new…. or better.

I ordered this Rear Right Side Power Window Regulator with Motor assembly from Amazon on 24Feb2021 as a replacement for the original OEM part(s) that came in my 15-year old 2006 Acura MDX Touring & Nav SUV (about $54, including tax). Shipping was free. My local Acura dealer (Acura of Tempe, in Arizona) wanted about $600 (parts, labor, tax) to do this job.
One of the 2 plastic locking tabs holding the original OEM Regulator steel cable in place broke, causing my window to fall down inside the door window track and remain inoperable. Why aren’t these locking clips made out of metal? I noted that this after-market replacement Regulator has the same type of plastic locking tabs as well. Overall, this new after-market replacement assembly appears very similar in design and quality as the original OEM assembly.
Never having done this type of installation on any car before, I found an applicable how-to video on YouTube on the “Zero Experience Required” channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHmxU4papeU&list=PLLvhBB2v4mMY915Q9dx1vJ3TJ6W2WvTbv&index=45).
Being my first time, and working alone, installation took me about 2 hours. If I had to do it again today, I’m sure I could do it in half that time.
I needed only 3 tools: 1) small Philips Head Screwdriver; 2) 10mm Socket Wrench; 3) Needle-Nose Pliers (only used to detach and later re-attach the door latch clip).
I used some gorilla tape to hold my glass window in place. Thus I did not have to take the glass window out of the door track, so I found those parts of the above referenced YouTube how-to video were unnecessary.
Once the after-market replacement assembly is installed, make sure to plug the door light back in when testing the new motor. My replacement motor didn’t function until I plugged the door light back in.
Installation was pretty easy. Once the door was fully reassembled I noted the new motor sounds just like the remaining 3 original OEM power window motors, no louder, no quieter, and it operates slightly more quickly than the original OEM left-rear window motor now does.
So a do-it-yourself for $54 plus an hour or two of my own time job versus having Acura do it for about $600. Will this after-market replacement assembly last me 15 years? I don’t know, but I doubt my 2006 MDX will be running in another 15 year either.
So far so good. Thus far I’m very pleased.

I purchased this product in June 2019. My husband found it easy to install even though he’s not an auto mechanic. Here it is over four years later, and that power window regulator broke again, but that door gets used a lot! So, I’m ordering another one because at this price point it, it’s amazing that it lasted 4 years!

Bought this regulator mainly because of price and the reviews it received. My ’02 MDX is up there in age, and since I was replacing the regulator myself to save money, I thought I mind as well save money all around. This was the least expensive regulator I could find on the internet with free shipping, so I bought it. Locally available regulators for my SUV were running over $125, so this was a no brainer. The main negative review I saw was that it said window operation was “noisier” with this regulator. I thought to myself that I could live with that, considering my MDX is a spare vehicle for the kids and we probably wouldn’t be keeping it much longer. Went to my trusty assistant, YouTube, for a replacement video (found one) and followed the instructions to a T. Took about an hour to replace because everything went well and as expected (pleasant surprise). Very happy with the final result. It was easy and I recommend this product for sure. Price was cheap, but the product is performing like any other higher price regulator, which is a good thing.

Had to drill new mounting holes to get it to fit since it was a bit too long. If I had to do it again, I would get an OEM part to save some time. Other then that, it works great

This part is not cost prohibitive, and I am able to use my window again. Thanks!

You become skeptical when every local auto parts store wants 130 dollars for this unit and you find one for 45. You’re also wondering if it came with the motor or the regulator. Well, when you first open the box, it feels like you just bought a gtx1080 graphics card on wish and thought you got a good deal when it was really a hacked version of 570.
Now, the unit came with the motor and regulator, amazing. Installing it thinking it won’t line up to any holes, all lined up, amazing. The window goes up and down, amazing. The price of 45, amazing!!
This product worked flawlessly and the installation was like OEM except for some sharp edges. But after bleeding out for a few seconds and a couple of beers, you will get over it.
Will probably replace the driver side regulator soon as the amount of money I saved, I could technically buy 2 more. Good buy
