Worked great when I first installed it. 4 months later it doesn’t work now.

I installed this on my truck. When I pushed the button to go up it went down. When I pushed the button to go down it went up. Didn’t want to have to remove it. So I did a quick fix. I cut the wires leading to motor and swapped them. Now works as it should. Giving it 2 stars but one positive comment is the motor is extremely quiet just like the factory motor.
