Disclaimer: I picked this up for an earlier club car (1994). It is longer than the original on mine, but works just as well. If the pictures don’t look like your cart, that is why.
My shifter completely froze up a long time ago and I’ve been using the shift lever manually since then.
This was a drop in installation for me and only took about 20 minutes to do. I did already have the old cable out, so your mileage may vary. The ends came with ball sockets, but didn’t include nuts or washers for those. So don’t lose yours when removing the old ones. The adjusters adjust smoothly, and the cable operates like a new one.
My only complaint is that one end was bent when I received it. I was able to fix it, and it’s not a defect of the product.
Highly recommended for anyone with the sticky shifter blues!
