I mainly purchase these kits for the new piston rings, but they do an awesome job. This is the kit to buy, at the very least you’d want a new set of rings and a head gasket, this kit has that and extra goodies. The valve springs seemed to give a decent power bump to my 212, haven’t tried them on the 224 yet. The head gasket is a multi layer steel design, very good never had any problems with them. Throw in the new piston if you don’t have a flat top already, doesn’t hurt and it’s not too hard.
Also the 224 is a stroker motor, so this kit WILL work for the 224 as well as the 212.

Nice kit. Fits as it should on my Predator 212 non hemi. Extras are appreciated and will be used. My piston measured .560 from the top of the wristpin bore to the top of the piston and my stock dish piston measured .570. My understanding is the stock piston is .550. Not so in this case but just some info for others to check. With the stock rod this piston will still be below the cylinder deck and not hit the head.

This piston was pretty straightforward to install, and didn’t give me any issues with dropping it in or valve slap. The other parts that came with it also seem good quality, as I’ve also used the spark plug, head gasket, and the heavier valve springs for higher rpm, still on a stock camshaft. Great kit for any go-kart or mini bike project.

Found out does not work for the engine I needed although they have it listed as it would l. The piston size for The 196cc engine is 68mm. The piston that they is a 70mm so it 2mm to big.

This will not work on a honda gx 200. The cylinder bore is 68.04 mm.
