Very pleased with this Android Auto head unit. It has all the bells and whistles I was wanting in this type of unit. All the installation hardware is included, you may need to splce some of the wires depending on the model of your vehicle.

I got this stereo to install in a 2006 Chevy Impala to bring the stereo more “up to date”. The main purpose of this purchase was to add Car Play/Android Auto capabilities to the vehicle.
Installation was fairly easy – it’s not much different than any other aftermarket stereo. You will need to order a wire harness, and installation kit (bracket), antenna adapter and possibly even a Interface for your specific car to make this work. This is the case with any generic aftermarket stereo.
This stereo does not retain setting if you disconnect your battery. This is both a good and a bad thing…. If you want to factory reset it due to some weird issues, it’s as easy as disconnecting the battery for about 10 seconds. On the other hand, if you need to work on your car and disconnect you battery, you’ll have to reprogram all your settings back in.
As I mentioned, I primarily got this to add Android Auto to the vehicle. Even though this stereo claims it works for both wired and wireless Android Auto, I could only get it to work with wired. The stereo manufacturer wants you to install their own special software on your phone to use wireless. I wasn’t on board with that, as it shouldn’t be needed, so I instead bought an adapter that hooks up wired, but provides a wireless connection option. This worked perfectly and it’s how I’m using it today. The unit has two USB ports on it. One is easily accessible on the front, the other is on the back of the unit. Only the front port works with Android Auto/Car Play.
One other thing to note is how the front bezel is on this. It has a volume knob on the left side that just doesn’t like to fit very well with most mounting kits. I had a hard time getting this to fit a bracket and look decent. The volume knob is difficult to use with it mounted – but the unit also has a remote control, so that makes it easier. If you have volume controls on your steering wheel, that should eliminate this issue as well. Something else to note, this stereo did not include any screws to mount it to the bracket – so you’ll have to either find some or make a trip to the hardware store to find the right size.
Overall, I’d give this 3.5-4 stars. The unit works well and was a good upgrade from the factory stereo. The only reasons for knocking a star is that built-in wireless AA requires using their app (or an adapter purchased separately), it didn’t include screws for the stereo bracket, and the volume knob location/set up. For the price though, it’s a nice unit, and redeemed itself a little in that category.
If your looking for a budget upgrade that needs a little finesse to install but gives you features of a newer stereo, this is good option to look at. Just be aware that you will need to purchase extra components specific to your vehicle to make this work.

Good stereo. Powers my speakers very well. Good quality display for this price range. The backup camera is a huge plus. The front powered usb is great to have to charge devices on the go. The remote is pretty neat, and works great. It was easy to install. The Bluetooth setup is smooth. The micro sd slot is useful for pre loading music on.

This is installed in the ’88 Sunbird. The Sunbird is listed as having a 1.5 DIN radio. I cut a custom radio bezel so I could install it. I didn’t want to Frankenstein my original equipment bezel. Like others have said, there are next to no instructions. It took a while to trace down the wires so I could install the radio. I’m glad the screen is a little smaller because it looks better sitting in the bezel I made. I decided to forgo the backup camera because the Sunbird is so small and most of the time I’ll have the roof down while driving because it doesn’t go out much when it’s cold out. I wish these stereos came with the style of backup camera that is small and is integrated into the license plate frame. The style of camera that came with this is the boxy one that sticks out and gets caught on nearly everything. This stereo has such clear graphics and finally paired with my phone after a few tries. Phone calls sound clear and it’s so nice not to have to fumble with my phone, especially since my car is a 5-speed transmission. I had to make my own brackets because the ones supplied needed too much modification. It is not a super easy installation, but manageable if you are familiar with car electronics. I took off one star for a lack of instructions, but this is a nice stereo at a great price.

Dissapointing function. Features are there in concept but execution is poor. Sound quality was acceptable, but not impressive.
Pros:
* Decent screen support. Not the brightest, but acceptable.
* Touch is sensitive, but calibration slightly off.
* Bluetooth support is solid.
Cons:
* FM radio reception is horrendous. Dropped signal 3x from prior integrated radio receivers.
* Backup camera dead on arrival. Tried many inputs before giving up. Not impressed with quality control.
* Android auto didn’t connect over all the cables I tried or over wifi. Also refused to connect reliability after installing a Android auto usb wireless adapter. This functions but would not consistently connect.
* Directions are lacking. Had to guess and check several times.
* Dimmer function is backwards in a GM pontiac grand am. Didn’t work as expected.
