Just installed, cant speak to longetivity. Does appear to use same orings as factory. After spending 30 minutes trying to get connector to fit into coil, finally grabbed a scope camera so I could look into installed coil connector rather than removing it. Found clip was installed upside down on male connector. Removed and turned over, went right in.

I recently purchased an ’01 SDD 7.3 and after driving it for a few months it died suddenly with no codes. I got it home and started researching and the consensus across multiple channels is that it was either the injection control pressure sensor or regulator. there is a simple test for the sensor so we decided that the sensor was functioning properly so I ordered the regulator. Upon installing it the truck did start but coded immediately. I was unable to obtain a diagnostic reading on it because everywhere I went their readers either wouldn’t connect or said no codes present in spite of the glaring “service engine soon” light.
A couple of days later it again died suddenly and the code readers wouldn’t work and the SES light was still on. Looking back on previous history with this engine I changed the cam position switch and the truck has been running ever since although rougher and louder than normal. I ended up purchasing a very expensive code reader and it said that injector pressure was out of range and it was either the regulator or sensor, having already installed a new regulator I installed a new sensor but it still showed a code.
I reinstalled the original regulator and the code went away, the idle smoothed out, the engine quieted down and universal love and happiness spread across the world.
Moral to the story, buy quality parts. In shotgunning and doing internet troubleshooting I went down the wrong path as well as introducing other problems that masked the original problem needlessly. YMMV.

Quick delivery was a must and that happened with in 2 days, mechanic said he couldn’t have gotten the part with in 4 days. Nice work fellas. Part fixed the problem.
Robert Bennett –
Terrible. The ipr worked all of 20 mins went out and had to buy another one and the truck is running just fine now.

Just exactly what I needed!!

Works on a 7.3 had no issue. Nuts 27 mm while OEM is 29mm but fits fine.

It kept IPR DC% way too high. Gave DTC P1280, P1283, P1211 and more. The ICP I don’t know, I put the old one back hoping it was the problem. But the IPR it was. Bought a Motorcraft. The ’02 7.3L came back kicking like a 2024.
