Very helpful for jump starting cars. Had to jump my car after a vacation. Worked in minutes. Was very easy to use, also has lights on the jump starter port. Works as power bank for charging phones too. Definite must haves in my car alongside my tire inflator. Easy to store in the car with provided storage bag.

This is a review for the BSMOOM 3000A Peak 12V Portable Jumper Starter (ASIN: B0DGNR92YH). The list price was $68.99 when I ordered it. This unit is lighter and smaller than expected. Mine came about 80% charged. It took less than an hour to charge up fully to 100%. The manual says to recharge every 3-4 months “to maintain the efficiency and prolong the service life” of the device. The flashlight is handy, though not super bright. The listing claims it is 400 lumens. I don’t love the fact that there isn’t a separate on/off button for the flashlight. One long press turns it on, a 2nd press after that switches to flashing mode, a third press switches to SOS mode (morse code), and a 4th press switches to flashing red and blue lights. The lights do not work while the battery is charging. There also isn’t really a power off button. Pushing the power button turns it on but additional pushes does nothing, except for a long press, which turns on the flashlight. The unit appears to turn itself off after it has sat idle for about a minute. I wish it had a more definitive off button. The only indicate that it has powered off is that the battery percentage indicator on the LCD display shuts off. I assume it stops drawing power from the battery at that point but I’m not sure. It’s nice that it has several USB ports for charging external devices. It includes a USB-C & -A charging cable but no charging adapter. The USB-C end is for the input to charge the jump starter itself. 2 USB-A ports are outputs for powering/charging external devices. One is a USB 3.0 that is advertised as a quick charging port that charges 75% faster than a standard charger. I have not yet had a dead battery since getting this, so I can’t yet report on how well it handles jump starting a car. I’ll be happy if I never have the need to test that, but I got it to have in the car for that emergency situation so neither I nor a family member gets stranded somewhere praying some kind soul with jumper cables offers help. The rubber covers for the USB ports and the ECF jump starter cable port come on and off quite easily. I wish they fit a bit more snugly. So, you’re stuck having to either keep it and its accessories in the box it shipped in or find some other case for it.

Everyone needs one of these. I’ve used it to jumpstart a car 3 times before thinking to charge it and the battery was still at 50%. Lifesaver!!!!
