- Distance between the top holes is 3.66″ Distance between the lower holes is 4.26″ Distance between the Top and Bottom holes is 3.97″ Check your engine or valve cover to be sure these match your hole spacing.
- These are for the Stamped Steel valve covers that come from the factory with sealant and no gasket.
- Please make sure your cylinder cooling fins are not clogged before installing these gaskets.
- Clogged cooling fins have been found to cause overheating and subsequent sealant break down.

I bought these to do a service on a customer’s Kohler 7000.
I have used Amazon sourced parts and gaskets for all sorts of repairs and projects. And have always had good luck. But this time it was a let down.
The paper that these gaskets are made of is JUNK! The paper that these are made from WICKS the OIL right through it. The gasket wasnt on the engine for.more than 10 minutes and I started to find oil seeping around the bottom of the valve cover. When I disassembled it I found that the oil was WICKING through the gasket material. See pictures.
So what I did was I took the gaskets out cleaned everything with a good parts cleaner to get rid of the oil and Contaminant off the engine heads and the valve covers and used a high quality RTV sealant. That did the trick. So save your self some trouble and money and.get some. “Ultra Gray” RTV from Permatex and for get the paper gasket, Especially These particular gaskets. There are other types of gaskets out there What you’re made out of quality non wicking material that work far better than these everwood.
