The original part is so expensive, this is a fraction of the cost. But in design and build quality, I can’t see a difference. Of course, the old one was quite worn, so it’s not a direct comparison. But this fit right in, and got rid of a persistent code. If you have a problem with the hydraulic control system and feel sure this part is the issue, this is a much more affordable way to replace it. So far, it’s working fine without issue.

Picture of the device is upside down, the black plastic is the top.
When the fault is a “Stuck Throttle Valve”, this device is called a TTVA – Transmission Throttle Valve Assembly. Symptoms: erratic shifting to second. Sometimes it waited a long time for to grab second and sometimes not. Normal when cold fluid but when warmed up, erratic shifts occur. The fault code names this device.

I was told I needed one of these and so shopped here and found this option. So far so good. I am having an issue where it will shift to second gear and then not shift back to 3rd unless I let of the throttle and wait. I have not put the old back on to see if this is my issue or the transmission shop just messed up. Probably should have waited to review but if your needing one of these I still think its a good option and value.

This is garbage don’t waste the money. I bought this because my local Chrysler dealer had it on back order. After I installed it, the truck would aggressively shift down coming to a stop light. When I tried to accelerate it was like it went to neutral. I only replaced this part because my truck was throwing a code for it. I never had any shifting issues prior. I installed my original one back in until the dealer gets one in.

Worked for a couple weeks. Better off buying oem part. I’m waiting on one from mopar currently. This is one part that is worth the money to get the quality you need.

Worked good

I didn’t expect it to last this long, at the one year mark. If it failed, I will buy an OEM one, but for 1/5 the cost….this suckered works great!
