It seems to have fixed the issue I was having. However what should have been a 2 minute job with just a 10mm wrench turned into a 45 minute ordeal that required several tools. The oem part uses 10mm nuts on the clamp and the stud. The new part needed a 13mm(not provided) nut for the stud. But it’s not as simple as getting a bigger nut and calling it a day. The negative battery cable is made to fit snugly on the oem stud. So now you have to get a drill and correct bit to open the lug to fit over the new stud. But the cable is in such a spot you can’t just hold on to it while you open up the hole, now you need a pair of pliers to hold the cable while you drill. You could skip the pliers of you want to remove the battery, but that just adds more time and another trip to the tool box. But again it seems to be working so it gets a middle of the road rating. There’s probably better ones out there for the same price so I’d shop around before settling on this one again

I’ve had Stop / Start issues & warnings on my Jeep for over 5 years. Often it was not working because of a “Battery Charging” error. Dealer replaced battery 2x, I replaced the battery (out of warranty) once, charging system was fine. All the experts said this problem is 95% a bad battery, 5% maybe a bad IBS. Each time the battery was replace the S/S worked as it should for 6 – 18 mos, but always came back. I didn’t want to buy an IBS from the dealer at $280, Summit Racing has them for $160, Jeep parts on-line sells them for $80. Then I found this, bought it, installed it and BINGO, all the S/S issues are gone! What a deal. Makes me tempted to buy a spare!

I was able to install this in about 5 min. Very simple. Haven’t had any issues with it and my car now works how it did when it was new! Great price compared to dealerships!

They should call this sensor the “StartStop” sensor because it immediately fixes the errors and issues with it not working, at least for a 2016 KL Trailhawk 3.2 I couldnt find my battery sticker until i removed this sensor. My battery stickers says 11/22 so i dnt think my battery is bad in this case. for 30 bucks this made my start stop work immediately without anything else. Hopefully it lasts awhile and it will save some gas at long lights so i dnt understand people who hate it just press the button then!

Works perfect on 2018 dodge journey gt. The day I paid my vehicle off it throws a code. Looked it up and narrowed it down to this sensor, found it here at a quarter of the cost compared to the dealer or even a parts store. Threw it on and the code cleared. Would definitely purchase again when the part goes bad.

This product fixed my start/stop issues on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee! Like others have said, my car has been plagued for years with “start stop unavailable due to battery charging” messages. I’ve replaced the battery twice, and each time it would fix the issue for 6-12 months before it would slowly lose reliability. I figured it was the battery again, but this time I got a message saying that the start stop system needed service, and with a little internet searching I found this product. I’m honestly not 100% sure what this thing does (measure current?). About 5 minutes to install, 2 bolts and one small electrical connection. After reconnecting, I had a couple of spurious messages about park sense and lane sense unavailable, and that start stop system wasn’t ready, but after driving for about 15min, everything is now working like new!

I had the Battery Charging issue on my Jeep Cherokee 2016 for nearly two years now. I’ve changed the battery and the issue persisted. Immediatly fixed the issue when I switch the ISB Sensor. Thank you very much

Worked flawlessly to restore s/s functionality. Don’t drop the 13mm battery nut or you’ll have to remove enough bolts from the skid panel & inner fender well to retrieve it.
Took it for a ride around the block but nothing. Went out about 20 minutes later to store and it was working perfectly.
2015 jeep Cherokee 2wd.

Don’t waste your time. Installed and immediately got check engine light. Also the car was not keeping voltage while on, and had to jump start the car. Here is info on the code I was getting after installing: P0562 code is going to result from a failing alternator. Other causes can include a bad positive battery cable, bad wiring or connection at the alternator, bad voltage regulator (on vehicles that still have a separate regulator), failing PCM or a dead-short parasitic battery.
I had to resort to buying the manufacturer part. Unfortunate, but car has been running just fine for 2 months now. The problem was this aftermarket part.
