If you’re wondering if you need relays – the answer is probably yes. Do your research on how to correctly wire and use them and save yourself blown switches, fuses, cooked wire, and dead batteries. If you’re wondering if you need weather-sealed relays – the answer is almost undoubtedly yes. Relays essentially act as a powered or “triggered” switch to allow a low-draw electrical source (say a switch) to pass through a high output power (like a light bar). Does water or mud sound like a good idea in that equation? The water sealing design of these relays is robust in that I doubt, short of your UTV going completely into a lake (and maybe not even then), your relay will ever short and risk damage to your battery or the connected light. These relays are well made; the pigtail wires are good copper with flexible jackets. All in all a really good value.

Good quality

Exactly what you’d expect SPDT relay to be.
Seals up against moisture nicely
Power and ground wires are little too thick, but it’s rated for 40A, so that’s understandable.
But for my application(<1A) it’s bit too thick

I used the relay on my tractor to connect the battery to the alternator when the key switch was on. It worked great.

Good waterproof switches. 12 AWG wire.

haven’t fitted them yet, but they appear to be decent quality and sealed pretty good.
