this shammy towels are a complete disappointment, primarily failing because they are ridiculously small. It is clear why they do not prominently advertise the size, these are tiny by comparison to most other chamois towels available. A buyer expects a practical size for drying a car effectively, and these are fundamentally undersized for the task. While they do absorb water okay, it takes a significant amount of effort and elbow grease to really wring the water out, which makes drying the car hard work instead of efficient. Even after struggling to wring them out, they still leave behind frustrating little micro water beads, which means they fail to provide a spotless, streak free finish as claimed. Paying this much for these towels feels like a scam. They are pretty expensive for what feels like cheap, Dollar Store material. The fact that they include three of these tiny towels does not make up for the inadequate size and poor quality. Three tiny, hard to wring towels are not enough to effectively dry a car. This product is a major failure on size, ease of use, and value for money.

As soon as you first open the inner packaging (vacuum sealed bag that contains the towel), there is a very strong foul odor. It must be from the manufacturing process but it is quite bad. I suggest washing these towels a few times and letting them completely dry in the sun before using them. Besides the odor, these towels are great for drying your car after a car wash. They are not the most absorbent towels but they are definitely streak free and do a great job. Due to the type of material (a little rubbery), it feels like there is quite a bit of friction between the car and the towel making you think you might be scratching your car but upon close inspection, I didn’t notice any scratches. They do dry very fast as well. The texture is different on each side and I’m not quite sure which side is to be used for drying your car. (Based on the pictures, it does look like the smooth side but I’m not 100% sure.) Besides the odor, which I assume will go away after a few washes, these towels are pretty good for drying your car. I also like that it comes in a plastic tub for easy storage. Although they are decent towels for drying your car, I cannot really recommend this product due to the foul odor and lack of clear instruction or explanation as to why the two sides are different.

He usado infinidades de ganusas y microfibras para secar tu vehículo y de verdad esta no hace un buen trabajo no es para nada una buena opción trae un set de 3 pero es perder tiempo tratar de secar un vehículo con esto

I honestly thought these towels are a fluke because at first theyre very weird feeling. They come already pre moistened which was a surprised to me because I always used microfiber towels. After using this all I can say is WOW! These towels rock! Literally dried up my car no problem! Very easy to wring out too! Only thing is that when they dry they become very stiff to make sure to keep them wet and put it back in the case it comes with. Highly recommend!

Chamois used to have a pretty bad reputation for scratching your car because the dirt had nowhere to go as you slid it across your paint. They were relatively smooth but would absorb water really well. This synthetic chamois has a nice waffle weave type pattern for dirt to get scooped up into the little nooks. A very particular detailer would probably still prefer microfiber since it’s probably a little better at trapping small particles, but honestly, this feels pretty plush as well.
As a test, I wet the chamois and squeezed it reasonably well and weighed it. 130ish grams slightly damp. Then I filled a container to see how much water it could absorb. About 130g. Nice. I was impressed. Then I look at the Amazon listing and they advertise 20x its weight. A little misleading, but I suppose if I let this thing dry in the sun until it was stiff as a board and weighed next to nothing, I’m sure it could absorb 20x its weight. In an actual use case, absorbing as much water as it does when wrung out reasonably well, it still absorbs an impressive amount of water.
When I was in high school swimming, they used to market these things for using to dry off so your towel wouldn’t be soaking wet when you’re getting in and out of the pool a dozen times during meets. So just like the old days, I wet my skin and used this to dry off. It was super soft and dried my skin really well. It was much nicer to use than what I remembered all those years ago. I would certainly use these for that purpose if I needed to.

Works really like any other car towel I’ve ever used. It’s absorbent, leaves not lint or streaks. Can’t complain about this 3 pack.

I thought this was a good value for 3 of them, but they are quite a bit samller than my old one. They dry OK, but being smaller they have the be wrung out more often

I tested these out by drying my car windows after a quick rinse. They absorb decently well, though not as good as other shammy towels I’ve used. Wringing them doesn’t squeeze out too much water so it still retains a fair amount. It’s also on the smaller side so it’s more effective for smaller areas such as the windows vs the entire car. I do like that there are two different surfaces, a smoother side and another that has more texture. I found the textured side to be good for cleaning the side mirrors well and removing debris.
