This is a direct replacement for the coolant reservoir. It actually fits more tightly than the original which is is plus.

Bought this to replace OEM cap on a 2015 Mk7 Golf 1.8 Tsi (original cap had perished plastic). Seemed to fit well, however after just two months it seems that coolant is leaking out past the cap. Going to throw it away and get an oem one.
