This rust converter and primer is exactly what I needed for treating trouble areas on the undercarriage of my 67 Galaxie restoration project. It goes on smoothly, dries with a solid flat finish, and really locks out moisture. I like that it works on both rusted and clean metal without needing extra steps. This was convenient for my welded repair areas; that said, I still recommend sand blast or wire brush and chem wash the areas you are going to treat.

I recently tried this rust converter kit, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. From the moment I opened the package, I found the application process intuitive and straightforward. The rust converter applied easily, resembling paint, which made for a smooth application.
Prior to using the product, I took the time to prepare the surface by using a wire wheel to remove loose rust and debris. Following that, I blew the area clean with an air nozzle. I decided against using any degreasers or metal cleaners because I wanted to avoid any residue that might hinder the converter’s effectiveness.
I used the rust converter on the underbody of my 25-year-old truck. The transformation was remarkable! After allowing the product to cure, I noticed an immediate improvement in the appearance and protection of the metal. The rust that was once a concern now feels securely contained.
Overall, this rust converter exceeded my expectations. It’s a reliable solution for anyone looking to combat rust effectively. I highly recommend it to anyone dealing with rust issues on their vehicles or other metal surfaces!

I’ve been really impressed with this rust converter and primer. The brushing ability is fantastic, goes on smoothly and evenly, which has made application much easier compared to other products I’ve used. My son is restoring a 1971 garden tractor, and this has been a huge help in stopping existing rust and prepping the metal for painting. It dries to a nice, solid finish and seems very durable so far. Highly recommend for any metal restoration projects!

I wish I’d known about this stuff years ago. There are so many projects from prior years that would have been so much easier if I had this stuff.
Basically, just clean up the area and get rid of any flakes or debris. You don’t have to wire brush your surface to bare metal. Brush the stuff on like you’re painting it and watch the magic. They recommend 2 coats, 2 hours apart and then wait 24 hours to completely cure. You’re left with a black protective layer that’s ready to paint, if needed. No priming – the protective film is the primer. Doesn’t get much easier than that!
Overall, I’m very impressed with this product and highly recommend it. Worth every penny.

1 star – terrible. I wouldn’t consider buying it.
2 stars – marginal at best. Doesn’t meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk.
3 stars – average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I’d probably buy it.
4 stars – better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I’d buy it.
5 stars – exceptional – far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.

Easy to apply with good flow. Product has good viscosity that brushes on quick smoothly.
Remove loose debris from surfaces, clean off surfaces, and apply. My project was roof vents, roof jacks, chimney flue caps and chimney saddles and side flashing. 1/2 can did 4 eyebrow vents, 2 chimney saddles and side flashing, 1 electrical weather head,3 exhaust vents and 4 plumbing vents.
Comes with 2 brushes that work well for application, and disposable gloves.
Very pleased with the immediate rust conversion upon application.
