This is a fantastic little converter that makes life on road trips and while camping just a little bit decadent – haha. I mean, it’s nice to be able to plug something in or charge something up when you need to, even if you’re supposed to be “roughing it.” Sometimes, I still want to blow-dry my hair or fire up my curling iron even when I am somewhere without a wall plug.
Plus, it’s always good to be able to charge up your laptop and Kindle by plugging them in while driving so that you don’t have to worry about the batteries dying when you’re at the campsite using your laptop or reading on your Kindle. And you can also charge up a bunch of other devices on your way, too, since this has four USB outlets (two A and two C) in addition to the wall style plugs.
I have not had any issues with this heating up too much or any issues with having to treat it overly gently. In our car, nothing gets treated all that gently as it seems we’re always knocking things over or dropping things on the floor, etc., so anything too delicate would not be up our alley. But this has proven to be up to the challenge so far. 🙂
I also like having this so that we don’t have to worry about being entirely without power in the event of hydro outages or extreme weather events and such. Better to be prepared than to be caught short, after all. If a hydro hookup isn’t available or doesn’t work for some reason at a campsite, for instance, at least we can always start the car and be sure that we can maintain power for devices, lights, music, heaters, etc.
Plus, this fits easily into the glove box of my car so it is always available in an emergency situation as well.

This is great for my car. It has 2 USB and 1 USB-C ports. I don’t need the outlets but it’s good to have. Wished it had one more USB-C port as that is the port that is gaining popularity.

I needed this as my backup travel inverter for my Dell Precision laptop, which sports a 240W power adapter. I wanted this inverter to live in my laptop bag, so I’d never forget it.
Pros:
Very light and compact.
Very quiet fan operation. The fan runs at a slow speed until you draw more power, and then it ramps up. Even running my 240W laptop, it was never too noisy.
It didn’t cause my aftermarket laptop adapter to buzz at all, despite this inverter only generating a modified sine wave output.
Cons:
There’s no direct means to power the 12VDC input to the full 25A+, since car cigarette lighters usually don’t put out more than 10A. There’s no visible input fuse, but the wiring and included cigarette lighter plug seem sized well enough to handle the full current, if you mate it with a high-amperage socket such as the 30A https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074CT5CSN
The most reliable hookup solution would be to cut off the included cigarette lighter plug, and hardwire directly to the battery or other high current circuit.
It had a strange failure mode when the input voltage wasn’t strong enough, with the blue power light flickering on and off and who-knows-what being delivered to the AC output.
