works, for buffing shoes using BYOB drill. The paste was applied evenly with it. However pieces did come off at first, did not come off afterwards. I bough it not thinking would get more than one use given the reviews but has so far been used 3 times. Learned that for shoes to shine you still need to do the final buffing by hand but significantly less effort after using the buffing ball first.

I love to keep my shoes looking good and this thing is an amazing and easy way to get a good shine every day. I keep it on an old small drill that is virtually a toy, but it work amazing with this attachment. And it putts a shine one a shoe so quickly. It buffs out slight marks in the polish – I love it.

Made polishing jump boots a 5 minute task and I no longer have to dedicate a lot of time to getting that mirror polish. Very worth the money

I bought this tapered buffing ball to use on polishing my cars wheels. The foam buffs that I had deteriorated over time and I thought this felt one would be more durable. I don’t know if it’s durable but I can tell you that it’s horrible. There is red felt lint on everything that you touch. It seems like the think is destroying itself. I tried using it on clear coated rims and had red felt flying all over. Stopped using it and cleaned up the mess and decided I made a mistake in this purchase. Too bad it was just the right size.

The buffer disintegrates on use and leaves red fibers all over the shoe (attached photo). Avoid this garbage. This photo is after 2 minutes of use.

While it is listed as 3”, it still felt smaller and less substantial than anticipated. It seemed of cheap quality, and as I used it, it flaked apart with fabric/cloth particulate coming off everywhere. More so, it did not polish any better than a typical microfiber cloth (which I later wrapped around this as the form factor, and that worked fantastically). The whole experience was frustrating and messy. Overall, it didn’t feel like a quality product, and I definitely wouldn’t buy it again.

I bought this to polish my black work boots. I attached it to my drill, applied polish to the toe of my boot and put the buffer to work. Within the first couple spins, the buffer began to shred and left red fibers all over my boot and the floor. I thought maybe I had the drill set too fast. Nope, lowered the speed and the buffer continued to fall apart. It might work to polish a bowling ball but anything with any sort of ridge on it is a no go. Would not recommend this poorly made buffer. If anyone needs me I’ll be attempting to pick red fibers out of the tongue of my boot.
