This kit lets you connect your Dewalt or Milwaukee power tool batteries for a short time to give a car of other starter battery and give it enough charge to jump start the motor. This setup does not have any regulators so you are attaching an 18vdc or 20vdc battery pack to a 12vdc rated battery that normally runs under 14 volts. This will probably be OK for a short time during an emergency, but as they instructions say do not leave it hooked up longer than needed.
All the components are well made and it has a fairly heavy 8GA wire. The alligator clamps are a good size and clip on well. the connector on each of the batty source ends seem to make a good connection.
Unfortunately on the yellow battery holder the wires pretty much fell off the terminals. I happen to have a background in industrial electronics and it looks like the problem is what is called a ‘cold soldered Joint’ where the heavy wires were not properly soldered to the battery holder terminals. I will be able make a proper solder repair but as they say ‘that ain’t right’.
Updated: Seller did reach out on their own initiative and sent a replacement which is properly built. I appreciate when a seller stands behind their product, so plus a star, and I can recommend this seller.

I keep the battery and jumper in the trunk and always have them available, just make sure to check the battery from time to time to make sure it is fully charged, batteries can have problems but this jumper will not, it is well made and looks very sturdy and durable. With this jumper, I no longer have to worry about long distances alone, it is really a must-have for drivers.

I was so sorry for bothering my neighbor at a late night just because I needed his help for jump start. While we have more than one cars, but we don’t have the cable. Really regret I didn’t get one earlier. Finally I got my own and a portable battery as well. This cable is for using with the battery. It comes with three types of connectors, which should work for a variety of batteries. The quality of the cable is pretty good. It has a thick layer of rubber wrapper. It feels durable against bends. The clamps are colored and marked clearly for each terminal. They have pretty long handles for keeping my hands away from the junction post.
