This is a barb. It’s weldable aluminum. Got it to use a bigger fuel line. Didn’t end up needing it. A little steep but you get two. Good find.

Used this to fabricate a fuel tank. Can’t go wrong with this item. Well worth it.

Nice simple weld on barb. It is a sharp shark fin barb that will cut into the hose when you tighten it down, just plan for that. It is not the rounded barb for use with barrier hose. I’m going to try and round off the tip and convert into a bump.
Can’t go too far, the OD is only .600″, a loose fit for the 5/8 hose. You will need compressible hose and a clamp for this to seal.

These barbs are well made and were easy enough to install. I used these on an intake for my turbo Miata and they went on about as easy as you’d expect. I really like that these have a step down, so you can drill a slightly smaller hole and have the barb sit in the tube fairly snug. After roughing up the edges a bit, these were easy to weld and seem to be made of quality aluminum.
