These terminals mean business. I recommend mounting them in a non conductive panel like plastic or wood. The insulation rings hold the copper conductor centered but allow an exposed section between them. These terminals worked great as a remote battery connection for my trolling motor.

Built a battery box for cpap battery while boondock camping. These charging ports are installed in the lid so I do not have to open the box to charge it. I like these binding posts better than the banana plug ones that are two in one style, because the terminals can be separated farther apart, for safety against accidental shorting. I have not found anything wrong with them, so far, and would buy them again,

Installed on a Crownline 270 boat, these are cleaner looking terminals, not such an industrial look. Connected underside of terminals to 4 AWG wire with 3/8 ring terminals, terminals tightened up well. Connectivity seems good.

These work, but have many many problems that need to be improved.

The most important problem is that they are not fully sleeved and cannot be used on a metal mounting surface. There’s no guarantee that the stud won’t make contact with the metal. There is only a small ridge around the mounting hole to prevent it moving, but nothing preventing contact with the bolt in between the two plastic pieces.

Second, the cheap plastic used for the base is very brittle and cracks VERY easily, which is another reason it would be very unsafe to use this product on a conductive mounting surface. You cannot put sufficient torque on the fixing nut to prevent the stud from moving around and eventually loosening the rear connection. A lock washer (not included) could help but only a little.

I think this product has promise if these issues are adequately addressed. For plastic battery boxes, I would love to see a metal base rather than the cheap plastic.

Was considering for high load (75 amp) connections and purchased with the hope they would be acceptable. Found that they are more than acceptable and actually better than I hoped. Will re-buy but feel these will last a long time before any issues arise.

Built a battery box for cpap battery while boondock camping. These charging ports are installed in the lid so I do not have to open the box to charge it. Use a solar panel with ring connectors to charge battery. Also installed an auxiliary dc power port to run cpap in dc mode and a volt meter for state of charge. Saved about $75 by making the box instead of buying premade. Could add a usb or other available ports but this was made for cpap power only.

Bought this for getting power from my battery to inside a waterproof box i did use a little bit of sealant just to make sure absolutely no leaks

  10. K. Dupersoy

Used these for a solar installation and have no complaints
