very stiff brushes. Good idea to wear thick gloves, also battery terminals have lead.
For my Ford Batteries, the small inner brush is extremely tight on the terminal and the larger one is loose.
So the tight one does a great job, but takes a bit of effort. The larger one can work too.
Still a good idea to clean an inspect terminals twice a year. Coat the terminals with 12V conductive grease (Ford XG-12)

This is almost useless for my battery. The terminals can’t be cleaned with the terminal circular brush. Best to check your battery before getting this or you will be disappointed like i was.
