I recently had my car maintenanced at the dealer where I bought my car. I usually take it to the dealer for more complicated stuff. So they said that they can change the cabin air filter for $59. I said no and I did it myself. I ordered these 2 filters for $19.99 and I went onto youtube and saw how its done. I popped open the glove compartment and took it out and there it was. Its more simple than adding paper to a printer. I changed it out and put the glove compartment back in a matter of 3 secs and saved myself close to $40.

I recently replaced my old cabin air filter with this one, and I’m happy with the results. The installation was pretty easy, and I feel like I noticed a difference in the air quality inside my car almost immediately. There’s less dust and pollen? Should be! Overall, the air feels… fresher. I especially appreciate the activated carbon to help remove odors. I’ve had this in other filters and it’s something I look for now. I’d definitely recommend this filter to anyone looking to improve their car’s air quality.

I got this for my 2023 Subaru Forester. It installs easily and fits perfectly. The pleats were all in good shape and look like they should work well. Unlike other filters, this one does not have an “up” indicator as a guide for how this slides into the filter slot (compare the filter on the top in the image to the one below – the one on top is this filter), but it really only fits one way, so this is not a major issue. Good filter at a good price.

Grey filter media is not a good choice
General observations:
The listing indicates that this cabin air filter is for a 2022 Subaru but this fits my 2021 Forester. The fit, finish and construction are as you would expect and is of good quality.
What is not a good choice by the manufacturer is the filter media when new is the same color as my filter that I replaced. The filter I took out was snow white when new. The ability to look at the media to see how well it worked and if it needs replacement or not is a good feature.
I will use the other filter in the set, but I would not purchase again due to the media color. It looks dirty and used when new.
I’m sure that the reason for the discoloration is because of the activated carbon media. However, if the filter was constructed as shown on the listing, I’m not sure that the top layer filter media paper look like it does. But, I am not a car cabin air filter expert, so if color does not matter to you, then this could be a good choice.
Value for Price:
From my perspective and experience, the price of $19.99 is Fair.
