These are substantial battery clips. These are not the dainty little clips that come on some devices. It is a 2 pack.

First these are a good value. You get 2 sets for the price. The material seems to be good quality and the wire clamp works fine. The spring tension seems to be sufficient and does the job. My biggest complaint is the shape of the clamp makes these hard to fit into tighter spaces. Overall a good project that will work for most jobs.

These are heavy duty clamps, when you finally get them attached to your cable. The chrome plated steel clamps are a beast. The copper teeth are good conductors. As a team, these clamps are really great. What is not great: putting them together. If you are looking for an exercise in developing patience… this is it.
The connector is plenty big for welding leads or any other large gauge copper wire you care to use. They are great clamps. I am concerned about how long the insulators will hold up on the clamps.

My first impression was about the size. I was expecting them to be smaller based on the pictures. But they are well sized for a set of battery cables. Then looking at the package you can see one side of each camp loose in the package. There is a small screw and nut included. Installation on the first one took about 20 minutes, part of which was trying different tools to install the loose clam on the clamp assembly. To install, you must open and hold open the clamp. I can do that with one hand, but leave one hand to install the missing part, and install the screw, and tighten the screw and nut. The nut must go in the small space in the middle of the copper part. The fun part was getting the nut in place on the screw, which wasn’t easy with needle nose pliers, until I found a really narrow pair of needle nose pliers. I got the nut to set on the screw threads, then there isn’t a lot of room to hold it in place (remember one hand is still trying to hold the clamp open) and get the threads started. Guarantee, the nut will fall off several times. Once started I found something to wedge the side of the nut to keep it from turning.
Back to size, these are large and the guage on any wire I would use for jumper cables, they have to be attached to the clamp. There is one very small hold that is vacant, so any connection is most likely going to need a drill to widen the hole for a connector to connect. Not sure why the lost part of the clamps wasn’t rivited in place just as the other side of the clamp with the attached jaws was. Looking at the quality of the handle coverings, out of the box, one is already splitting. So, if you want grips, there is another project to get them wrapped so they don’t fall off, or find another solution. I would not recommend these unless you have a lot of time to “remake” them.

* Handle coating is relatively thin.
* Clamp springs are installed on top of coating and will tear it up after not too long.
Full stars awarded, nothing so bad to deduct a star. Very good for home use, may need extra maintenance if used often.

Had some jumper cables that were pretty heavy duty I’ve had for years. Over time, the clamps have gotten pretty worn out, rusting and looking a little sad. The cable itself is pure OFC and very thick so hated to waste it. Found this set of replacement clamps and they worked great. The way you clamp the wire on is a little different then the ‘permanent’ pinch clamp my cables originally used for old clamps. These new ones worked a bit different, and you basically use the small screw and nut to clamp the stripped wire between the clamp body and copper teeth insert. The nice thing is this make the clamps a bit more serviceable and can be removed and reused later if you ever needed. However, it was really tricky to get the screw worked into place, attach the nut, and tighten everything down, all while squeezing to hold the clamp open and not pinch your fingers in it. It makes it particularly tricky as the screw is quite short and just barely long enough, and once you have the wire added, it makes it very difficult to get the nut started. After wrestling with the first clamp, I ended up grabbing a wood clamp that I used to hold the clamp open, which made it much easier to get everything tightened down. If they made the screw just a few mm longer, it would be so much easier.
Otherwise, they are really nice clamps and would recommend.

These clamps are made for some serious duty projects.
I was in need of a set of jumper cables for my two vehicles. Buying available cables are a joke because shopping for a jumper set is like a hit and miss affair. Cost over efficiency. Cheaper cables offer heavy insulation over light gauge wire. Deceptive marketing. What is important is the wire quality and size. I have left over 8 gauge wire from a RV extension cord and used this. It isn’t the best selection of wire but adequate. With boosting a discharged battery as in a vehicle needing a jump, USUALLY you could get away with a small gauge wire for energy transfer if one rule is followed. TIME. Allow enough time for the dead battery to ABSORB a charge. Most people want to start a car with a dead battery instantly and although possible with a heavy cable, I have found that if you just wait a bit, even a small gauge wire will suffice.
Let the dead battery absorb a charge. No rushing . It works. That I know. So these battery clamps are bruisers. They are heavy duty clamps for sure. Aside from the manly size, I had a difficult time using their tiny short screws to secure the crimped wire/inserts to the clamp. I soldered not only the wire to clamp insert but also the tiny screw to nut in hopes of the tiny retention screw not falling out at some point later.
The manufacturer can help by increasing the screw length a tiny bit.
The project is completed and I have a high grade copper wire jumper set that will outlive me. The Clamps are the star of the show. Built like a tank and will take ANYTHING you throw at it. A beast. 5 stars for a Heavy Duty Clamp.
