As you tighten the bolt the washer keeps getting crushed and does not show much sign of bottoming out unlike other toyota crush washers. It is very hard to tell whether or not it is tight enough. This is coming from 20 years of Automotive mechanic experience.
Unfortunately now i have to throw away the remainder.

Too bad that the Toyota oil filters don’t come with a crush washer. Shame on Toyota.

TORQUING IT TO FACTORY SPEC CAUSES THE WASHER TO SQUEEZE OUT TO THE SIDE. DO NOT USE ON YOUR TOYOTA. LOOKS THE SAME AS THE OE PART BUT IT IS NOT.
