He who buys too much on Amazon –
This fit without any issues, but I did have to change the connector so it matched up with what’s on the vehicle. I recommend using water proof butt splices.

My Impala was having issues with the coolant temperature. This sensor fits the same as OEM, and it works great. It fixed my issue immediately!
Vlad O. Dumitrascu –
I had a temp sensor go on the fritz. Dash temp reading was pinned at minimum and the radiator fan was on 100% of the time, including for 10 minutes after the truck was shut off. Eventually, I got a check-engine light and a P-code pointing to temp sensor.
I changed the sensor, but still had issues. On second look, the wiring pigtail was raggedly torn. Looks like, over the years from one mechanic to another, they tore the wire casing trying to remove the electrical clip(it’s in a blind, akward spot). So, the connecting clip has to be replaced, too.
This kit had both, which is great! The weathertight clip is slightly different than GM OEM. It is a little more direct to open and close, with a very visible side retainer mechanism. The GM one is all black and kind of invisible in the dark – you have to squeeze and pray you’ve lined up the pliers right. Before you say anything, I used special purpose weatherpak pliers for this. This one is clear with the spring loaded retainer tab very much sticking off the side. But, I will say that the clip did not effectively seat the first time. The error came back and I had to pop the hood and really press down for a satisfying “click” to make sure it seated well.
After all that, no problems since. Temp on dash reads perfectly, radiator fan went off, and check-engine & OBD codes went away.
