I am making an outdoor SLA battery box and wanted a fuse on it in case of some sort of short. This cable harness connects to the battery easily and has an inline fuse. I cut off the end connector and put on my own, but in doing so realized that the multistrand wire is very large, indeed about 10AWG. I wouldn’t really trust any of the included cheap fuses, plus I needed a much lower rating fuse, so I ordered a separate 3A fuse from a reputable automotive retailer.
